Comprehensive Eye Exam

At Knight Vision NW, we believe your eye health is about more than just seeing clearly—it’s about your overall well-being. Our Comprehensive Eye Exam goes beyond a simple vision check. Dr. Knighton takes the time to understand your lifestyle, health history, and any concerns you may have.

During the exam, we assess your vision, check for changes in your prescription, and screen for early signs of conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. We also evaluate how your eyes work together and their overall health, ensuring a complete picture of your visual well-being.

To support this, we use Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT)—an advanced imaging technology often described as “like an MRI for the eye.” This device uses 20,000 laser scans per second to capture highly detailed, cross-sectional images of your retina. OCT allows us to view and track early changes in the retina and optic nerve, often before symptoms appear, helping detect conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Our OCT also includes an iWellness scan, a quick, non-invasive screening that provides valuable insight into your retinal and optic nerve health over time.

As part of your visit, we also provide guidance on safe and effective over-the-counter eye treatments, such as lubricating drops, allergy relief drops, or gentle eyelid cleansers when appropriate. This helps you avoid harmful options and choose products that genuinely support long-term eye comfort and health.

Expect a friendly, personalized experience where all your questions are welcome. Whether it’s time for an update to your prescription or just a routine check-in, we’re here to help you see and feel your best.
